Gardens along Morogoro Road

One of the income generating acitivity in the city of Dar es salaam is selling seedlings and flowers. When moving along Morogoro road you will see a lot of people selling seedlings/plants of different kind. At the same time you will see different people parking their car along the road buying seedlings and flowers.Last week I interviewed one owner of those gardens and comment that, this business is not always giving them money. Because the customer buy their products at great quantity during rain seasons compared to dry season, as you know Dar es Salaam is not secured for water supply .So during rain time the soil is wet to support the plants thats why many people would like to buy seedlings. The problem gardeners are facing is the small capital they have. They also lack education on how to improve their business as well as it is difficult to predict the market situation. Somedays they failed even to sell one seedlings. My concern here is that how those gardeners can be assisted
