Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Degree; First Class Degree Honours in Land Use Planning and Environmental Studies, from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Research Experience
July 23rd 2003 to September 19th 2003
As a Researcher: Impacts of Tree Planting on the Livelihood of Communities in Unguja, Zanzibar.
As a Research Assistant: Interaction between Forest Plantation and Community and its Impact on Biodiversity in Zanzibar, Tanzania. This research was done in collaboration with the Lecturers and Students of the University of Dare es Salaam and University of Turku, Finland.
Training, Seminars, Workshops and Conferences Attended
March 6th 2000 to April 6th 2000: Attended and completed PRIDE Credit Officers Induction Training courses and awarded Certificate upon successful completion of the training conducted in Nairobi, Kenya.
December 8th 2004 to December 9th 2004
Attended and participated in a seminar held in the University of Turku, Finland. In that seminar I presented a paper with heading: Pete Village, Life and Environment. This village is located Southern Zanzibar.
December 16th 2004 to December 17th 2004
Participated in a Seminar workshop organized by Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA). In this two-day seminar I presented paper titled, “Impacts of Tree Planting on the Livelihood of Communities in Unguja, Zanzibar”.
1st July 2007 Attended seminar on writing of study material and course outline for a proposed B.Sc. Degree Programme in Environment Studies held in the Conference room of Giraffe Jangwani Hotel Beach and 22nd August to 24th August 2007 I attended and successfully completed seminar on Project Management Skills and Techniques organized by the Open University of Tanzania held at the Morogoro Hotel – Morogoro, Tanzania.
28th August 2007: Gender sensitization seminar for academic staff held at the Open University of Tanzania. It was a one day seminar.
Other Qualifications:
Computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point as well as data entry and analysis using Microsoft Excel and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). I am familiar with remote sensing and GIS because I studied these causes.
